Good Deals This Week

As many of you know, we are currently saving for our new home, which we should be in sometime in April or May! So, needless to say our grocery budget has been cut by $25 every two weeks. It is now down to $75. It has made stocking up on sale items a little bit more challenging. However, I have really had to sit down and figure out what we NEED. That being said I am still trying to increase our food supply even with a restricted budget. I know you are probably thinking really how far can $25 go. A long ways I tell you. Here is what I will be getting this week:

Fry's
Fry's Canned Vegetables are 2 for $1
Fry's Canned Beans are 2 for $1 (selected varieties)
Fry's Canned Tomatoes are 2 for $1
Fry's Milk is $2.19 a gallon
Fry's Fruit Snacks are $1 each
Rosarita Refried Beans are $1 each (small cans)

Safeway
Yellow, Orange, and Red Peppers are $.88 each
Kraft Macaroni and Cheese Boxes are $.50 each on Saturday and Sunday only with a limit of 4

Bashas
Half Gallon Milk $.99 each limit 2

Sprouts
Green Leaf Lettuce $.88 each (only on Wednesday as this is from last week's add)

Okay so back to how far $25 can go with the vegetables, beans, and tomatoes on sale this week I could have gotten approximately 50 cans! That is awesome! I'm starting to miss my $25! :( Also, with the peppers I mainly use these in chicken fajitas. However, when I want to make them the peppers are never on sale. So I will probably buy 4 of each and then I slice them up and freeze them! It works great and I'm saving some money. With the macaroni and cheese you will need to get creative. Have your spouse go with you and you each do a separate transaction. Hit a couple Safeways and then go to a couple of Wal Marts and price match! By hitting four stores and having a partner in crime you have just received an extra 28 boxes for an amazing price.
